Thirty years in the cover

Cory Fechner is the founder of GrouseHunting.org. He has hunted ruffed grouse in northern Minnesota for 30 years, working aspen cuts and alder edges from opening weekend to the snow of late season.

He hunts behind a Brittany, a close-working pointing dog built for the thick cover of the Northwoods and just as good on the couch as in the woods.

When he is not chasing birds, Cory runs a digital marketing agency. That is why this site gives you straight answers instead of ad-stuffed filler. Every species guide, state writeup, and gun comparison here comes from time in the cover.
